I think I passed through Searcy a few times on the way to Heber Springs. My moms family lived in Tumbling Shoals near the lake. I even remember the area before the dam was built. The area has probably changed a lot since then. Do you ever get over that way?
If you've gone to Heber, chances are you did pass through Searcy! I love it here! I just moved here back in January & I finally feel like I'm in an area where I belong. LOTS of good hunting around here, unfortunately I didn't have time to do any this past year because of my work. I do get to Heber quite a bit tho, I have a buddy who lives just past the dam in a log cabin. He's got a nice creek that runs behind his house so when I need some "chill" time, I usually hang out with him on the back deck where we can hear to creek water & watch wildlife. Looks like you got a nice spread yourself there. Love going to camp... even if you don't get a kill, its worth the time & trip just to hang with buddies and reflect, don't you think? Glad you added me as a friend!
Some of the best times in camp were when we weren't hunting. Sleeping late, sitting by the fire, hanging out in the tower stand watching the food plot or fishing in the lake. Just talking about it makes me wish I was there.
