Oh yeah, 10 years and no elk. Frustrating!!! Still addicted to elk hunting? Yeah, I am. Sick huh? Someone in the family usually bags one. I've dressed and dragged out my share anyway (quarters).

Where do you hunt hogs in Texas?

This fall will be my first attempt at bowhunting elk. I've always rifle hunted them. Of course, after 10 years I've had some close calls but never closed the deal. I decided last year that my best opportunity is to hunt them with a bow when they are more interactive. My brother-in-law has always tried to get me to go with him, he can call. So, this past fall I decided... can't do any worse with a bow. I know he sees a lot more during bow season so I'm optimistic. I hunt hogs WAY too much. I like to bow hunt them at night. I like them as much if not more than hunting deer. During archery deer season I took one doe and 7 hogs. My wife is sick of eating hogs. Going out to hunt again this weekend.

Great looking avatar...I love elk hunting! None down here but I do get to hunt every year in Western Montana. In between I get to bow hunt hogs all year. Hope you had a great season!
