Old Country and new Country

My interests are pretty simple,,, hunting and fishing, mostly catfish, as I now live a mile or less to the Mississippi River.

I enjoy working in the garden, taking care of the yard, and doing wood crafts

Mostly the Outdoor Channel and of course the Packer Games.

kaybear Welcome to kaybear's profile

I am a retired tow boat cook. I grew up hunting and fishing in Wis. with my Dad. I shot my first deer at age 13 with a borrowed single shot 12 ga. and have not missed a deer season sense then. In the last few years I have become very envolved in the NWTF and love the turkey season both Spring and Fall. Although I'm still learneng about Fall Turkey hunting..
My husband is a heavy equipment operator and we have four grandchildren

Stamp Malfunction

The Postal Service created a stamp with a picture of President Obama on it,
but noticed that the stamp was not sticking to envelopes. This enraged the
President, who demanded a full investigation. After a month of testing and
$1.73 million in congressional spending, a special Presidential commission
presented the following findings:

1.The stamp is in perfect order
2.There is nothing wrong with the glue
3.People are spitting on the wrong side

Thank You. I'll miss all the beautiful flowers the rest of the year, but looking forward to some awesome trail cam pics.

Had some fun down on the farm last weekend! I missed a big doe Saturday evening late because I had to bend around bass akwards from a seated position to try for the tight angling away downhill shot with my bow, but I had to try, she was a big fat doe. She winded me coming in, did an about face and then stopped to look back. Then I almost walked into one of the big bucks as I was walking out in the dark. I didn't see him until he snorted at me! LOL! And I passed on a small cowhorn spike Sunday morning because we're only allowed 1 buck in Ohio and the trail cams definitely indicate I should hold out this year! The last trail cam picture is from another guys camera on a neighboring farm. It's a cell phone picture of his computer screen so it looks a little weird. There were new rubs & fresh scrapes all over the place indicating the pre-rut is coming into full swing! I’m taking a week’s vacation to bow hunt the 2nd week of November and it should be great!

Last flowers of the season!

Just wanted to give ya a reason to smile today!

One of my hobbies is taking and sharing pictures of our flowers and other cute stuff during the off season, just to give folks a lil reason to smile and/or a lil blessing on a bad day!

But now that deer season is upon us, it is time to start focusing on the trail cams!
