Hey Guys ! My name is Jerry From Marylands Eastern Shore. I own and run a Lawn and Landscape business. I am a single father of two great kids in which I put first in life. I love the outdoors. Mostly hunting, fishing. Just being in the woods or out on the water is the greatest!!!
An Eastern Shore man leaving the bay, was stopped by a game warden recently, with two ice chests full of live illegal sized crabs in water. The game warden asked the man, "Do you have a license to catch those crabs?"
"Naw, my friend, I ain't got no license. These here are my pet crabs."
"Pet crabs?"
"Yep. Every night I take these crabs down to the bay and let 'em swim
around for a while. Then I whistle and they jump right back into this ice chest and I take 'em home."
"That's a bunch of Bull! Crabs can't do that!"
The man looked at the game warden for a moment and then said, "It's the truth. I'll show you. It really works."
"Okay, I've GOT to see this!"
The man poured the crabs into the river and stood and waited. After several minutes, the game warden turned to him and said, "Well?"
"Well, what?" said the man.
"When are you going to call them back?"
"Call who back?"
"The crabs!"
"WHAT crabs?"
We from the Eastern Shore may not be as smart as some, but we ain't as dumb as most.
I added a few photos to my gallery. You might want to take a look. I had the guys in from Pennsylvania(4)and Louisana(3). We started our hunt with pronghorn last Thursday (one day)and continued throught the weekend chasing deer and elk. They are all pulling out and heading home today. It was super week of hunting! Three bulls and two cows where had along with three mulie bucks. 13 antelope were placed in the bag as well. Only one fellow didn't fill his tags.
This weekend is big game opener with a rifle here in Montana and I am staying home. Opening weekend in my opinion is "Rookie" weekend. All those wannabe hunters that dust off their hunting gear the day before opening day. Oh I am just venting. Thank goodness I bow hunt. I have filled 4 freezers this year thanks to a early season damage hunt. I hope you have as much success as I have. Good Luck!
