justracey Hoping to hear my husband got a big buck this morning

I can't remember a time when I wasn't a tomboy. My mom and sisters gave up trying to convert me years ago. They still laugh and shake their heads from time to time. My favorite room of my house is the deck. What can I say? I'm an outdoor girl.

I am fortunate enough to be married to the love of my life, David (mibowman on here). We have been together 29 years. Married 28 of those. We have two grown children, Michael and Sierra, a son-in-law Danny.

I'm co-owner and bowyer of St. Joe River Bows with Dick Swagger and my husband David. I love blending my love of the outdoors, archery and art into one-of-a-kind, custom bows. These are some sexy bows.

He was a total wreak last night. I'm not sure he knew what his cell phone was or how to answer it. Actually he probably forgot to turn the ringer back on after hunting. We do that all the time. Hard to remember.

I got to talk with him today as he was traveling through Madison, Wisconsin. He sounds SOO excited! I really hope he nails a monster especially with that longbow.
Have you been able to get out today or been working on bows?

Great job on that deer despite the eye, I could tell Sunday you were not feeling well. Heal up soon lady there is lots more of them to put down.

I'm hoping to spend more time with the longbow now that I've contributed to the meat stockpile. If the eye continues to improve maybe I can get a chance at something with my St. Joe RiverBow.

OMG! The day you get one with your trad gear I will flip out! Still, getting one with your wheels despite whats been going on is the same as far as difficulty. I know you won't have any problems with your SJR once your healed up.
Have you done any more work to your bow that you've been working on?

Right now it looks like my season is over. It's devastating. I'm not evn sure if what I'm typing is good. Can't see a damn thing. My eyes aren'y focusing together and I have weird multiple images, very blurry and moving. Feels like I'm going crazy.

Sorry for the tardy reply sister. But I guess you're wrong on your post,...... Your season ain't over! Really a pleasant surprise to see your big smile behind a great deer. Congrats again!
Glad you got the monkey of your back. Now take care of your eyes and take it easy.

Danged Girl.. I was just reading about your eyes. I'm so terribly sorry to hear this. I hope they get better soon.. I'm headed out this morning to try and stick one.. Have a good weekend and Take Care..

Well, Dr.s don't always know everything. I started having huge improvement in my vision yesterday. Today I went out to see how I could shot and danged if I wasn't accurate up to 30 yards. So, I went hunting and shot a deer tonight!! If that don't just beat all, I don't know what does. I thought I was shooting a doe but she turned out to be a button buck. Vision is good enough to get me a perfect double lung shot but not good enough to see buttons. I'll take it and be thrilled.
Good for you Girl.. Congrats. on makin' a good shot. Ya just can't ever give up just cause them ole Dr.s tell ya to. The Big Man has his own ideas...LOL.. That's Great.. Have a wonderful Day...

hey why id your hunting season over soemthing go wrong or just end of season its just getting started arond herelast till end of jan here and end of feb in arkansas

I have developed an inflammation in the posterior of my eyes. My focusing muscles on my right eye aren't working and my two eyes aren't working together. I have goofy glasses that help me see things a bit betterclose up, like the compuetr screen. But can't even read road signs for distance vision. I have weird multiple images or just plain jumbled images. I can't see the site pins on my bow or the damn deer. It may be weeks before the steroid eye drops completely work to clear all the inflammation. Even worse I can't see well enough to work as a bowyer and as we just bought into St.Joe River Bow Co. I need to be producing bows or we will lose our shirts.

thats from hangin around rick LOL good luck
