i grew up hunting in northwest colordo. have a wife and two beutiful daughters one is 8 the other is 7 months. my eight year old is really getting to were she loves hunting and is a pretty good shot too.my method of choice is with a bow. i shoot an alpine fontier and love it. it shoots just as good as my brothers martin and my cousins mathews but wasnt as expensive. during the winter time i ejoy hunting mt lion with my brather and his hounds. i had two blue tick hounds but one got bit by a rattle snake and i couldnt get him to the vet quick enough and the other one got hit by a car.elk is by very far my favorite animal to hunt though.
thanks he i never got him wieghed but my taxidermist said that he used a 180 lb form for him. my brother has hounds if you no anybody that wants to hunt one
i know several people that would love to hunt one will have to keep in touch when the season comes on
Hard to beat elk huntin' ain't it? I'd say elk is by far my favorite too. Something about a September morning and that piercing bugle - makes the adrenaline surge, for sure!
Turkey season is among us in Maryland. Remember to stay quiet, don't move and cover up.
Spring tip: Make the lead hen fight you in your calls and she will come after you. The gobbler will chase the lead hen and that is how you get them henned up gobblers to come out and play :)
