I am 29yrs old. I was raised outside the small town of Newburg, PA. I was raised around hunting, fishing and outdoor recreation. It is in my blood. Members of my family own over 1000 acres in cumberland County. I consider myself very fortunate to have had such a playground to grow up in and learn about the outdoors. I am married to my beautiful wife Ashlee who never complains about me going away to hunt for weeks at a time(yeah right). But seriously she is very understanding about my passion for hunting. We recently found out that we are expecting our first child. Actually, our second. Our first child is our 6 mo old Golden Retriever Charley. I am so excited and cannot wait to pass on the outdoor tradition. I work as a counselor in a state run juvenile deliquent facilty located in Perry County. Never a dull moment there! That's it in a nutshell.
Turkey season is among us in Maryland. Remember to stay quiet, don't move and cover up.
Spring tip: Make the lead hen fight you in your calls and she will come after you. The gobbler will chase the lead hen and that is how you get them henned up gobblers to come out and play :)
Hays is in the northwest part of kansas right off of I70. A lot of big bucks and rio grande turkeys. Turkey hunting isnt that difficult with shotgun so im going to give the bow a try this year. Its a different style of hunting in Kansas than what im used to in southern missouri. Let me know what you think aboutn the drenalin im currently shooting the outback and like how light and quite it is.
Enjoy the time off and don't forget to keep an eye on us here, we are planning something big over the weekend :)
Thanks.
