My company just did a job in shepherd, we're Sun Electric. You can put in for draws, but they are totally random, no points system. I've tried for 9 years to draw and never got one tag. but there is a lot of public land and over the counter tags for deer and elk with a rifle. There is even more opportunity for the archer!

Yes sir i hunt 99% public land. I have a farmer who lets me hunt his property, but have never connected there. Every thing i kill in Idaho is public land!! I love it. Where you at in Texas, i am living in winnie, working in port arthur. talk to ya later
I live in Shepherd and work in Houston. Winnie is only about an hour away if you know the right backroads, lol. Do you have to draw tags in Idaho? I went there a few years back but didn't go hunting. Seen tons of elk and mulies driving from Boise to Challis.
