are you allowed to run dogs year round for coon as long as you have no gun with you?

Oh yes,but we do anyway cuz where we hunt in the bottoms are full of yotes, lol,Im not gettin my ass out there in the dark with yotes w/out a gun, haha, these yotes here are very aggressive...they plot and shit, surround u,I guess they stay hungry idk,lol..just hope we never get caught with it..lol..hows ur day goin???

after working 12-14 hour days and gettin up early on weekends to turkey hunt i was exhausted and took the day off work.....there has never been a reported/confirmed case of a yote attacking a human here in hoosierville...but its still creepy coming out of the woods at dark and a pack of yotes opens up between me and the house...i just start singing to let the yotes know im there and not surprise them

Yea I've never heard of 1 attackin anybody either, but it still scares the heck outa me,lol, but i love to hunt em and I love to hear em,but not wen they are less than 100 yrds from us,or between us and the truck..they work way to well with each other and they are very smart..but our game warden cuts us some slack,he knows we're not gonna shoot a coon,we just have the 22 for protection, because they are really bad around here,we have alot of bobkitties too,and I have heard of them attacking around here,as a matter a fact,an old man was sittin on his front porch and a bobcat in the middle of the day, came up and attacked this old man and almost killed him,so yea thats crazy

bobcats are a protected species here..ive only got a glimpse of one..at night for a split second....we have found tracks in the snow on the rare occasion tho

WoW really, thats crazy, lol, they are bad here,we hear them all the time coon huntin,I cant even explain what they sound like..Its creepy though, but the main reason we worry about coyotes is they will for sure get your coondog,a pack anyway,,we are just swormed with yotes and bobcats,I really dont know y,but it might be because of our bottoms idk..but we see bobcat tracks all the time, and see them period, and we have some really big ones too..

where i hunt yote population is gettin 2 high..last year at my friends place they called in as many yotes as turkeys.....i found out that if a yote busts ya next to impossible to hit one...they bounce as they run....

LoL,yea they bounce here too,its really hard to hunt em sometimes,Im tellin ya they are smart..you have to really watch for em,or you'll miss em..but they are so much fun to hunt, but it dont beat coon huntin..I really love that..

ive never seriously hunted yotes...huntin land is 2 hours away at my buds place they had a HUGE coon walkin around....it was 100% wild but you could walk up on it and it would give ya a "what the fook you gonna do" look......rarely seen him in a tree..always on the ground

LMAO haha..dangit man,I aint never seen 1 do that..but it may have to do with the fact that they are big,my fiance just told me a story about someone had 1 in a cage and it was a big 1,and he swore that the coon just kinda looked at him and gave him the finger, lol, like wat are u gonna do..I see a coon every dusk on the porch of the ppl down the street, they have cats so the coon comes every evening and eats the cat food,I have tried to tell the dumb lady that a coon is eatin her cat food, but she kinda said w/e,soo lol..

my cousin, whose 84 acres i hunt wants me to shoot every coon and possum i see.....but i aint flingin no arrows up into trees for a coon...i did how ever shoot 6 arrows at a possum on the ground before at 35 yards....had 1 arrow in front of him,1 behind him,2 above him and 1 below him...the last 1 went in him...i had him caged in with my arrows...LOL...wish i had a poic of that but it was long before digital cameras

Lmao..haha..had em caged in huh..thats cool, atleast u got em huh..Yea I dont blame ya not wantin to shoot up in a tree.them arrows aint cheap, lol,my dream is to shoot a turkey with my bow,I think that would be cool..Im still tryin to get my first deer though,I have had the worst luck huntin,my very 1st deer that I thought was mine at the time,I was using my fiances 30-06 and when I pulled the trigger it clicked, and I was like what the &%*^* ,lol, didnt know what the heck happened, well here he comes walkin up the trail and I was sitin there crying on my lil stump, lol, and he said whats wrong,I was like I dont know wat happened, well when i ejected the bullet I didnt look at it,he picked it up and the bullet miss fired,it was a very nice 10 point, woulda been my first deer, and the worst part of it is he went outa his way to buy what he thought was the best bullets for me,winchester silver tips, lol, the 1st dang bullet outa the box 2..and not 1 other bullet miss fired, lol, now that sucked..

we are only allowed to use shotguns here to deer hunt with and pistol caliber rifles like a 44 mag......ive never had a misfire except with a 22....that sucks about the 10 point

Yea It still kinda bothers me in a way and that happened about 6 yrs ago, lol, but everybody was tellin me it probably would have ruined me by killin such a big deer, bein my 1st 1 an all..Im not givin up,Ill get mine 1 day..haa I hope anyway..

you,ll get one.....and dont believe what people tell ya about a big one at first spoiling ya.....my buds first deer was a 17 pointer...and he was 17 at the time...and he has killed some nice ones since then

Well thank ya,I thought the same thing, but u know how men can be,lol,jk..but I have heard lots of stories like that 1,but they still say it,and your right cuz I dont listen haa. I'll get em 1 day, hopefully this season..
try sitting all day during the rut...hard to do but i seen a nice 10[i got video of him]at 1 PM last year...but he never got closer than 50 yards so no bowshot.......bumped alot of deer coming outta the woods for lunch so now when the ruts on i pack a lunch to stand
