I'm an old ugly retired Sailor. Spent 25 years in the service to our country and enjoyed every minute of it. Now I work as a hydraulic mechanic. Married to a wonderful woman for 34 years and she puts up with a lot from me. We have 2 childern (a son 30 years old, a daughter 28 years old). Our son has blessed us with 2 grands (a girl 10, a boy 7) Love them both but the grandson is Papa's Little Buddy.
Have recently purchased a motorcycle after 36 years without one and have forgotten how much fun it is to ride.

Over the years I have made a few friends from down in the Charleston area hunting some of the primative weapons hunts. Does the father, son team of Sonny and Rusty ring a bell? I think they are from Cottageville.
My season was fair. I killed two does, one with the bow and one with the muzzleloader. I saw a few real nice bucks on public land but couldn't get everything to work out. They seemed to keep a limb between us or would't come quit close enough. I let some basket bucks walk around the house that I have watch grow up the last few years. I hope to get my little boy a shot at one of them this coming year. I haven't had any deer hounds in four years now and I miss them very much. I used to run them on Willow Creek hunting club.
I understand you are having a little cool weather. How bad is it. In SC it is about 35 deg this morning but they are talking about the coldest weather of the year by the end of the week. Somewhere in the teens at night. No snow. Predicting rain today. How was the hunting season? I got a couple of nice bucks (165 lb 6 point, 190 lb 9 point). Stay safe and warm.

COOL WEATHER ISN'T WHAT I WOULD CALL IT !!!!! TONIGHT IT'S -35 WIND CHILLS !!!!!!MAKES THIS SOUTHERN BORN GIRL WANT TO HEAD SOUTH !!!!! HUNTING SEASON WAS GREAT .....DIDN'T SHOOT ONE THIS TIME , HAD SOME BOW HUNTER'S HERE FROM OUTTA STATE BUT WILL GET ONE THIS YEAR !!! THANKS FOR WRITING AND KEEP IN TOUCH NOW !

Had a good season. Harvested a 165 lb 7 point, 190 lb 9 point, and 2 bobcat. Have a freezer full and gave the taxidermist some work. How was yours?
Sounds like a great season. I took 2 nice bucks ( 8pt and a 10 pt ) with my muzzleloader. Last Saturday i got my 1st deer with my handgun ( 100 lb doe @ 40 yds)
