eericksen Cant wait until the sausage and the Keilbasa come back from my recent hunt.

Moved to Guiderland from Vermont about a year and a half ago. A little change, but im an hour from where I grew up. Right now trying to find some places to hunt over here it beats the hour commute especially during bow season. Since ive moved over here I extended my membership to Ducks Unlimited and became a co-chairman for the Albany, NY chapter...So far things are going good, but we do need a few more volunteers. Just living life to its fullest and enjoying the outdoors. Would like a dream job in the outdoors as a professional hunter, tv personality or anything helping conservation and wildlife management....and I am a Bone Collector!

I saw nothing this morning and damn that hour getting up early pretty much killed me. My friend shot a 4 pointer....poor little guy...lol. He broke the 6 or more points pact. lol

I hear ya...daylight savings time sucks....I did not enjoy getting up either. LoL.
Ahhh the breaking of the 6 point or better pact...Yep it has happened in our club too. Ours is the same. 6 point or better. Unless of course its a cull deer.

You are right where you want to be. They are out there. You just have to be in the right place at the right time. I know of a guy who lives by you, he shot a 6 point back there. He said it was so big that he thought it was an 8. I also went to a garage sale a few years back and there is another guy over there with several heads hanging in his garage and into the house. All shot not far from the green water tower.

Errol NH we have a camp and are hunting in that area but we will also be hunting in vt too. we always get our vt license for spring turkey and this year we put in for doe tags and got them for late muzzloader. It should be a good time. Im still very new to this camospace and I am working on setting up my page better. Im sure it will get easier.

There are big ones bordered by 155, Western, Washington Ave Extension, and Crossgates Mall. In fact one of the buggest bucks I ever saw was on the back road of Crossgates (I think it is called Rapp Rd.) but there are many houses and office buildings around. I actually work on Petra Lane by the dump which is in the middle of the preserve. I hear there are a couple of 8 points running around. Also I believe there are special rules for the Pine Bush (no facemasks, no cutting of vegetation, certain places you can and can't go, etc.) be sure you are aware of them.

You could have taken one of the two deer I passed up this morning....its almost more fun to see someone get their first then to get one myself.

Did you try going to the Pine Bush Preserve? There are sections you can hunt, but there a lot of ticks over there....Have a great weekend.
