ABOUT ME
My name is Stacie. I'm a 22 year old working college student and avid hunter. I mainly hunt waterfowl, although I also hunt small game, turkey, white tail deer... anything that has a season really. I hunt rifle, shotgun and bow. I'm a staff writer for Women Hunters Inc and I enjoy spending time outdoors. I have two wonderful hunting buddies- a black lab named Berkley and a chocolate lab named Kodiak "Kodi". I enjoy training and spending time with them. I have a third dog- a border collie named Elbie (LB) and I also train horses and own three of my own- an 8 year old quarter horse named Alex, a yearling paint horse filly named Sage and my newest little guy- a yearling appaloosa colt who came with the name "Rammstein" although I plan to change it. ;)
Turkey season is among us in Maryland. Remember to stay quiet, don't move and cover up.
Spring tip: Make the lead hen fight you in your calls and she will come after you. The gobbler will chase the lead hen and that is how you get them henned up gobblers to come out and play :)
No turkeys this year. I missed the deadline for a tag. I was told archery is unlimited and you can apply anytime...but I'm still waiting on my bow! Good luck when you do get to go out. Should be fun! Nothing is stopping me from getting a turkey next spring!!
what kind of bow are you getting? or is yours just getting worked on? i just picked up a alpine avalanche, and i LOVE IT. i have been shooting competitively for 6 years now, and have shot Pse, Martin, and now the alpine series, and alpine has them beat hands down. it is a lesser know bow company, but after test shooting a bunch of bows, the alpine was the best. if you are looking, you owe it to yourself to at least test shoot a alpine. i just won my local shoot for the year, an indoor 300, using that bow, a first for me.

u headin out after some turkeys this weekend? ive got to wait till next weekend, ive got the kids cuz my wife is headin to the cities shopping. oh well, ive waited this long.........
