I like to read books about hunting and the sea. I am getting into Peter Hathaway Capsticks books right now.
INTERESTS
My interests are hunting and fishing,especially hunting.My Passion is deer management,and wildlife habitat.I also like working on the water.I have been working on the water for about 15 years.I am a life member of the N.R.A.,N.A.H.C.,and Q.D.M.A. I have a large interest in African game.My dream hunt would be in Africa,hunting Black Death a.k.a. Cape Buffalo.If it is a dream then let my guide be either Peter Capstick or Selous.With God at our side,of course.!!
I watch all the hunting channels. That is about it though.

MY FAMILY (Especially my wife who always puts up with my crap when I tend to be a pain in the ass,and of whom I will forever love unconditionally.She is my better half,my rock.)
AMERICA (Because its where im from.I like freedom,apple pie,Budweiser,and Texas.)
N.R.A. (I truly think if it were not for the N.R.A. we would be throwing rocks at deer and hope for the best vs. a 150 grain chunk-o-lead to get the best.Criminals would have free reign,and we would not be able to protect our family and homes today.)
SIR ERNEST SHAKLETON (I think he was the best commanding officer,expolrer,navigator,and leader there ever was and most likely,will ever be.)
THEODORE ROOSEVELT (The man was great all around.We outdoorsman need a Roosevelt right now.)
I am an avid hunter living in Woodville, Texas. I like to try and go to Maine in the summer to get away from the Texas heat. I am a firm, die hard defender of the second amendment. I can not stand organizations that attempt to take that right away from law abiding citizens.
I have a wonderful wife and kids. Their names are Lori (wife) Chase (son) Ashley (daughter). I also have a Blue Healer, goes by the name of Dawg, easy to remember.
I tend to spend quite a bit of my time off at the deer lease. I love planting and maintaining food plots aka deer groceries and setting up cams to see the kind of deer that come to visit, also to look at the health status of the deer. I try whole-heartedly to keep the deer healthy. If I notice a doe with a new born. I will fill my feeders with high amounts of protein to help both her and her newborn along.
Wildlife management is a very strong and personal passion of mine. Just something that comes natural to me. I keep in contact with the local state biologist to help me out. I do not claim to know it all, by no means, so he helps me out in many ways with priceless information. I am very interested in the hogs of Texas. I read about and study them every chance I get. If someone has a question about hogs, most likely I have the answer.
My favorite firearms are my 30.06, 22.250 both Remingtons, .22 long Western Field aka the squirrel slayer by Mossberg, 12 guage also a Mossberg. My favroite handguns are my Glock 9mm and .357 mag. Python by Colt. My wife loves her .25 Beretta. I must admit she is a bad ass pistol shooter. Way better than I. God love her. I also love to hunt hogs and the critters of the night. (Coyotes,Bobcat,Coons,and a Badger is a bonus.) Here in Texas it is legal to hunt these critters at night, same goes with hogs. God Bless Texas.
This may sound pathetic but freinds for me are on the endangered species list. I am a merchant marine and dont have many,if at all. My career keeps me out at sea for most of the year. It is a challenging life, but enjoy it dearly.
Well, that is me in a nutshell. I would like to add one last thing. God bless the mariner including the unfortunate ones who lost and gave their lives to the sea. Many of whom were freinds of mine. It takes a lot of courage to go to sea during foul weather, VERY foul weather.
