I HATE TO SAY IT BUT I HAVE HAD A VERY BAD SEASON THIS YEAR! I HOPE THAT CHANGES WITHIN THE NEXT COUPLE OF WEEKS!!!!! GOOD LUCK TO ALL YA'LL HARDCORE HUNTERS OUT THERE!!!
Unfortauntely, no. He was about 400+ yards out, but even at that distance, you could see through the binos he was easily in the high 160's. Very nice Blacktail buck, especially for Washington. Heck, he'd have made a respectable Mule Deer.
We were so busy trying to figure out if we had enough time for a stalk, and how to cross this hideous canyon between us to get to him, we didn't get any pics. My little hunting camera wouldn't have picked it up very well anyway at that distance. With a good camera and a really good zoom lense, you could have got some AWESOME pictures of him though. Man he was gorgeous. He's still there though.. Might take the good cameras down one day in the coming weeks and try to get pics of him. Maybe some video. Might even go shed hunting if I can figure out where he's at later on.
