Hey fellow blog lovers:

     My 12 year old baby girl just put the smackdown on a monster Wyoming mule deer buck. We were actually after a different buck we have been watching. This guy just showed up and he is even bigger than the one we were after. He is a brute. best guess is if there is such a thing as a 300 pound mule deer in eastern Wyoming then this one is it. He is a perfect 5 on one side and the other side is a basic 4 point frame except he has a double split brow. So counting all the points he is a 7x5. This is a great deer. She made a perfect double lung shot at 255 yards on the laser. It took a while for the deer to jockey around enough to get a clear shot. It was very early morning light and difficult to see with the light horns and the light background. There were two bucks together with a few does and fawns. He was rutting more than feeding but still a touch early in the rut. The buck we were after to start with is a touch taller and wider but not nearly as massive nor does it have good deer forks.
