Went out bow hunting last night on a little bit of a scouting mission. set up a ground blind on the edge of a bean field where one of our pro-staffers had gotten some great velvet shots early in the summer.  We were primarily out to see where and when the deer were moving, possibly fill one of our doe tags, and of course if the opportunity presented itself-shoot a big buck.

about 1 hour before legal shooting hours ended we spotted one of the bucks that we had gotten pictures of pre-season. He is a tall wide main frame 8 that will easily hit the 150 mark.  One of our field-staffers had hunted this same field earlier in the week with the same winds and seen the buck follow the same exact path at the same exact time.  Last night not only did he do the same thing- he made several scrapes and rubbed several trees along the field edge.

After we pulled out blinds, we headed over to the field edge where the buck had traveled and marked a few possible trees for stands.  The POA for today is to head out to the same field and hang a double set in one of the trees along his travel route. The forecast calls for the same weather and winds as last night, hopefully we can set up and wrap a tag around this monster! We will see.
