Curious to see how many here shoot flintlocks?
Would like to hear what rifle and caliber is your favorite too.
My baby is a little .40 caliber longrifle built for me by a gentleman in Georgia a few years ago.
Has a 42" Ed Rayle barrel, Siler lock, Davis triggers and a walnut stock...a real shooter.

My wife and I have four flintlocks.  I have a Brown Bess (76 caliber smoothbore) and a 1777 Charleville pistol (69 caliber smoothbore).  She has an original Tennessee mountain rifle that is 45 caliber, rifled using files drawn through the bore. It has the most beautiful wood!   She also has a Queen Anne pistol, 50 caliber.  We love 'em!!

I bought my flintlock from a good friend that got it on his retirement back in 1978. Its a TC Hawkin rifle, its really a work of art with the all the brass and beautiful walnut stock. I'm learning little by little about it and have harvested a nice doe with it last year in Pennsylvania's primative flintlock season. Since its a 50 cal I'd have to say its my favorite. I like the added skill of the hunt. I wish you'd see flintlocks being used on hunting shows.
