In October of 2007 a revelation came to me and I designed Skymo and made a proto-type. In July of 2008 I received my first order of 200 outfits, now with one killer season under my belt with Skymo. In January of 2009 I attended the archery trade show in Indianappolis In. paid $200.00 just to walk around for three days with my camo on hoping to land a big deal, I couldn't afford to set up a booth for $2000.00. I got a few nibbles but none of the big boys even gave me a glance, all the big boys were there and I was totally ignored by them or was I? Low and behold in May I recieved a magazine and as I was looking through it what did I find? Virtego by Scentlok, but their base color is white, hmmm, I will probably will never know if they got the idea from Skymo or not, the time line is kind of short from January to May however Skymo is the first on the market to go this real with camo for the tree stand hunter and I contend the first and only one to create an optical illusion, they know I'm out there, why didn't Scentlok use blue? Copyright infringment maybe? White nor grey is the best color as a base for tree stand camo both are very easy to detect in motion and look the same to a deer but think about it , how many deer have you not seen untill they flick their tail? White is a color they look for and see very easily thats one way they spot each other, you don't see that white butt until they flick their tail or bust out running then that big white butt says follow me boys I'm going this way there may also be a depth preception problem there.
I am totally convinced that the light blue in Skymo is the only color as a base that produce an actual optical illusion on clear or cloudy days and the detection of movement is as minimal as it can possibly be, so will it survive? No matter what I say or do it will be up to you the bow hunter, your daggone right I want to sell camo but not just camo but the most effective camo ever designed, lets face it the only way left for camo design to go is up and Virtego your late, I will put Skymo up against anything out there, I may be small but I ain't afraid.
