On my way out to check a food plot I planted this spring, I came up on a hen turkey with a new born clutch. The chicks were so new they could hardly get through the mowed grass on the trail. As I watched them, I realized how vulnerable they are to predators at so young an age. The good habitat I have been offering them will help.
