First Ever Archery Hunt for Elk
Posted On 06/22/2009 16:11:47 by Tony_Sanders
I have pulled an archery hunt in CO for Elk. Being a novice, I am going to ask you experts what I need to do, buy, or take on the trip. I will start with the basic and follow this as it grows.

First, in the market for a new bow. Which one should I buy and why?

What if you bow is way outdated? The bow I use for Whitetail is a XI that is close to 15 years old. The new stuff is so much better...or is it?

I would never buy a new bow to take on the hunt of a lifetime. I would stick with my most tried, true & trusted bow and favorite arrows! Now clothes, I could see buying some good quiet scent block camo wear that I could also layer up for warmth if needed but I'd also take my most worn in comfortable insulated boots and plan on being able to hike!
