Your dream hunt is really possible with a lttle research and some savings all a a reasonable cost. I have been going to Alaska for all of 25 years since I left Fairbanks when the Air Force moved me away. I would seperate the trips as you will be much better off financially and each animal will be easier to bag. The bear will be the easiest to get of the 2 and you could hunt them both without a guide.

The guy on the left is a friened of mine and he is a guide on Kodiak island in Alaska. That is not me, it is one of Jake's clients from last fall. I will be hunting with Jake this November for Kodiak blacktail and hopefully my bear.
