This week a very special edition of Sportsman Spotlight. The first of this week's two featured clips will be from an all new series appearing this week, U.S. Pheasant Open and the second just in time for Spring turkey season, Turkey Country

Premiering this week on the Sportsman Channel is the first part of the action packed U.S. Pheasant Open Championship.This episode showcases the intense speed of the game and demonstrates just how critical making a shot can be. Tune in for your first glimpse of the great competition, great dogs, and an overall great event!

The U.S. Pheasant Open Championship. is the largest pheasant hunting tournament in the country and is a culmination of the season- long competition leading up to this National Championship. Held on an annual basis at the Minnesota Horse and Hunt Club in Prior Lake, Minnesota, the US OPEN is where the best of the best gather to find out who truly is the "Top Dog" in the game.

Tournament coverage is presented in 3 half-hour episodes and a bonus 4th episode covers the TOP DOG SHOWDOWN, where the Top 6 Pointing Dogs and the Top 6 Flushing Dogs go head to head to be declared Champions in the two divisions. Filmed in High Definition wide-screen format, the non-stop action puts you right in the middle of this exciting competition that's like nothing else on outdoor TV. U.S. Pheasant Open and can be seen Sunday at 7:00 pm, Tuesday at 10:00 pm, Thursday at 2:00 pm and Saturday 7:00 am. (All Times EST)

This week, Turkey Country is in the Sunshine State. First, Jimmy and Joe Harper try to complete their Grand Slams by taking some Osceola's. Then, NWTF regional director Patty Foster and volunteer Melinda Brogan go for the first tom of the spring on Melinda's family farm. Turkey Country by the National Wild Turkey Federation Don’t miss exciting hunts, great stories and a chance to sharpen your turkey hunting skills with the addition of the NWTF's television show, Turkey Country. As a high energy hunting show, Turkey Country features many of the NWTF’s volunteers from throughout North America and mixes tips and how-to information to help the viewer become a better hunter. Great hunting action plays a major roll in each episode while stories of introducing youth, women and people with disabilities to the thrills of hunting will keep you in your seat.
