By Whitetail Freak Hunter at 2009-02-18 Well my physical therapist, both of which are bowhunters told me that they would have me bowhunting for the 2009 season. Well after working real hard at my physical therapy I found myself back shooting just 3 months to the day on Feb 17th, 2008 at Spirit Quest Archery shooting for 3 hours.

Well lets back up a bit.... just 2 weeks after having 1" of my collarbone removed along with the collarbone joint and bursa sack, and R/C tear repair I started physical therapy. I thought my God what have I done to myself as I was experiencing alot of pain. Well my physical therapy started off slowly at 3 days a week for 30 min workouts. Then the weights were added to help build up resistance and stamina. Well several weeks back my physical therapist asked me to start working with my bow and drawing my string. Well I lowered the draw wt from 70# down to 60# which I also have an 80% let off on my Mathews Drenalin bow.

This felt good, and with my weight training I have increased my reps on the pully weights along with increasing the amount of weight as well. This has been paying off, by leaps and bounds as I am up to 100 pounds with a cross bar now pulling straight down with 4 sets of 10 reps.

Some may view this as getting back shooting to soon after just 3 months from having the kind of surgery that I have had. My surgeon had told me that I probably would never shoot my bow again, which is probably the worst thing he could have told me.
