You might as well know ,I don't bow hunt and and I used to.One smashed finger and never finding a release I liked,I became a gun hunter only. Then after watching endless(or at least it seemed so)hunting shows featuring bow hunting,I dicided even shooting a whitetail w/ a .357 was a quicker ,more painless way to harvest. If you could ,wouldn't you want tom know why the bow hunting industry hasn't come up with a better arrow head ,something that didn't require the animal to bleed out slowly, putting all that stess hormone in the bloodstream. When either my .44 mag.(240 gr.hollow cavities)bullet or the 100gr. soft tip out of my heavy barreled .243 hits a buck they don't go very far.I don't have a axe to grind with you bow hunters, enjoy your sport,my lack of understanding is with the broadhead makers,so don't post expressions of anger ,I 'm just wondering.....William

I dunno if i agree with you on this one partner. The biggest thing about killing a deer, or any animal for that matter, is shot placement. You put that 100 grain bullet right in the boiler room and he wont go far. But you put a good sharp 100 grain broadhead through the boiler room he wont go far either. As for the broadhead makers, I would agree there are some gimmick broadheads out there but I think for the most part they are much better then they were in years past.

my comment is not and will not be expressions of anger. But i will say there's nothing wrong with the Broadheads that Bow Hunters choose to use. If the bow is tuned right and you practice shooting ALOT! I mean .practicing everyday. Some people think you just pick up the bow go out to the woods And shoot an animal. There is alot more to it than that. If you Are willing to put the time in and practice then you can make that good shot. Almost every time i Harvest a deer most of the time i watch it fall. I have even dropped a couple right in it's tracks. Don't get me wrong i have made bad shots. but that was my falt not the broadhead. I suppose that is why there are people who go out to the woods  or there are some who are Bow Hunters. I think it is great that you brought that up. Alot need to know practice practice practice.
