I had this short essay sent to me yesterday from a friend of mine. I didn't write it, but another friend suggested that I put this one here and I thought it was a good idea. Maybe it will help us all take account of the reality of the situation we're in.
A Thinking Man's Commentary
I have not commented on political issues for a while, I have been distracted a bit. Maybe I have even been a bit depressed with the state of our nation. To those of you who may have thought I was paranoid, sometimes it pays to be paranoid! Obama is barely in office, and already he has decided that it’s okay to kill unborn babies but not terrorists. Most of us knew this would happen and predicted it six months ago. If you look at his brief voting record, it told the story of what is and will take place. The theme of the new administration will be “Kickbacks and Paybacks”. The kickbacks will be for all those who are related to anyone in the social services world, because Obama is going to pour BILLIONS of dollars to every kind of social scheme he can think of. Anyone with a hand out will get a little, but those who run the programs will be well compensated. Lobbyists and Senators, everyone who is helping promote the new brand of Obamanomics will be rewarded. All you folks that work hard for your money will foot the bill for all of this through higher taxes, the theft of your Social Security and your 401k. That’s right, even your 401k is in jeopardy. Think about it, where will they get the money for all the spending? Obama is working on ways to attach 401k, and other private retirement funds. This is going to be Socialism at its finest. If they print new money like they say they will, there are not enough goods and services to offset the increase in new cash. This will cause prices on existing goods and services to more than double. Printing new cash in these circumstances ALWAYS causes INFLATION. Food prices will continue to skyrocket for everyone but those on welfare and other social programs. They are going to live better than ever on your dollar. Obama is already spending billions to outfit every single slacker in America with a new TV. Those of you reading this will not get one, but you will be paying for one for someone else. If this does not make you angry then it should. You should be outraged! They are banking on the fact that hard working Americans have become complacent. I have heard statements lately which infer that if you are not for Obama, or if you speak out against Obama then you are racist. This is propagated by the Obama foot soldiers, to try and create a division between those who would stand up for their constitutional rights, and those that will sit around and act like Stepford Wives. It will be easy for the media to discredit those who fight for what is right, by labeling them as racist. I want to say, if we had a black man who wanted to be president who was not a fraud and a racist himself, I would gladly vote for him. There are many black men I would have happily supported. Senator Alan Keyes would have made a fine president. He is a man with integrity, common sense, extremely bright and no skeletons in his closet. And by the way, he is black. Obama was groomed for this role by the left, they knew if they could spread the hype of hope to enough to the uneducated public, they could place their guy in the white house. I still have hope, I have hope that in four years the public will have woken up enough to the media induced left-wing tactics that they will truly be ready to vote for change. Change that does not include false promises and media hype. Change that is totally blind to skin color, change that would include the reduction of government as a whole. Companies worldwide are downsizing, but our government continues to grow in both personnel and budget. That will not change during the Obama reign of terror. They will have the media broadcast stories about small layoffs in small areas of the government, but they will be secluded, far and few. The overall personnel count will continue to grow, but that won’t be reported by the Liberal Media. I just hope that what Obama does can be undone in time to save our country. For those of you that find my comments offensive, then so be it. I find it’s easy to be offended when you are not the one footing the bill. It’s easy to be idealistic on someone else’s dime. And yes, it is easy to be a liberal/Socialist because you don’t have to think or stand for anything. I grew up poor. I had some times in my adult life when I did not have enough to eat. I never took government assistance in any way. I don’t want or need the governments help, I can and do take care of myself. I do want the government to get their hands out of my pocket! I do believe in helping those who want to change their lives, and they should be helped. I don’t believe in enabling bad behavior. Obama’s programs will do just that. They will keep those who refuse to work in the lifestyle they are comfortable with. Listen to what I said “In the lifestyle THEY ARE COMFORTABLE WITH”! I have worked with impoverished people and communities for years, and there was always a larger number of the population in those communities that really did not want to change their lifestyle. They sometimes talked about change, but it was usually done so to manipulate others to give them what they wanted at the time. While this may sound harsh, I can assure you that over 80% of the people that were on government assistance of some sort ten years ago, are still on that assistance today. If they are not drawing welfare, then they get free housing from City, County or State Government. Most of the 80% also receive resources from religious organizations. As a former pastor, I was continually receiving calls from people who were pros at begging money and resources from churches. Those same people called on every church in the community on a regular basis. Wake up America! Wake up to what’s about to happen to your country. Obama will spend us down the tubes! Call your congressmen and tell them HELL NO! You will not give away my money, you will not give away my country. Get our jobs back! In some cases outsourcing our jobs costs companies up to 3 times as much. When jobs are outsourced to India, companies like Sprint/Dell/Time Warner all find that their rate of customer dissatisfaction soars! Yet they still do it…why? Think…Think…Think… And…act!
