This Last Sunday I went hunting in an area that I do not usually go until the weather gets much worse & the People thin out but it was Gun season & it is the only place that I can hunt with a Bow. When gun season is on you have to wear blaze orange from the waste up. I got there early signed in & was hoping for a look at a Deer that I saw Saturday around 8am. Right when I put the trigger on the string & raise my Bow to lessen the movement when the Deer does arrive I hear people coming down the road. Ok some hunters getting in late I will give them a Pass I have overslept before. They walk in front of me & down the other road beside me. Things calm down & I am getting ready thinking I still should have a shot because there are always a lot of people in these woods & I shot a Deer the year before about 10 min’s after a couple walked down this road. 20 Min later these people come walking up the Trail I am hunting crashing & making a pile of noise they have Bows but they are clearly not still hunting… They Circle me at about 100 yards & never look directly at me & ignore my attempts to see what is up. Then they stand about 200 yards away looking out over the field with Binoculars & by the time I get down from my tree they are gone. So I got up at 3 am drove an hour walked about a mile into the woods climbed up a tree set up & freeze in a tree for nothing?? What the heck, do you think did I get Punked? Bad Manners? Mad at me because I was in their area? It’s Public land if someone is where I want to go I am disappointed but I have a couple of back up plans, I do not go wreck the guys set up.
