It's too bad hunters are so divided. We really should quit fighting amongst ourselves and present a united front. It makes it easy for those who would destroy our heritage to gain more of a foothold than they already have. You don't see anglers arguing, why do we?
The way I see it is if it's legal then we make our own decisions about how we hunt. Those decisions ought to be respected. They are all derived from the same passion for the outdoors, and hopefully driven (and satisfied) by our innate "hardwiring" to provide for our families.
I believe if you want to hunt high fence, God bless you; if you want to hunt in a treestand or ground blind, God bless you; if you want to hunt over a feeder, waterhole, foodplot, heavy trail, scrape, etc, God bless you; if you want to hunt with a knife, a spear, a bow, a rifle, a muzzleloader, a crossbow, a sling, or a handgun, God bless you!
We ought to spend more time worrying about those trying to strip our heritage away from us and less time trying to force opinions and demonstrating a complete lack of respect and acknowledgement that we are all wearing the same jersey.
I run a Web Site called Just-Hunt.com. The logo on the main page says: "Bow - Compound, Recurve: Rifle - Bolt Action, Muzzleloader: Shotgun - Pump, Semi-automatic; Whatever weapon you choose...Just-Hunt! That, folks, is what I believe in.
A sidenote for the self-righteous: Baiting - I've hunted most of my hunting life on open range, spot and stalk, but I have also hunted over baited areas, feeders, food plots, wheat and corn fields, etc. Some of you don't like it. I would challenge you to examine the end of your fishing line the next time you reel it in...now fish without it.

For those bold enough to stand up for our collective freedom and our individual freedom of choice I salute you. You truly understand the principles upon which this country was founded. Long live our outdoor heritage, our passions, and our freedom to choose how we enjoy our outdoors within the scope of law.
Kevin
