Who's talkin' now Obama????
Posted On 08/29/2008 12:31:46 by Hookd_Up
Today is not only a giant moment in the McCain campaign, but a giant moment for all Americans.  McCain announced today that his VP choice would not be Romney, the MN gov. or Joe Liberman, but an even bigger surprise, the 44 year old female gov. of Alaska.  What does this mean to us?

For one, the claims that McCain wasn't for equality based on sex and the attempted image of him having a 1800's view of women in the work place has not only been silenced, but massively backfired on the Obama campaign.  Barrack not only had the most qualified, experienced, strongest and intellegent Democratic female candidate in history (not that I like or agree with Hillary) as a neck and neck competitor, but he stiffed her on the VP nom.  Who has something against women?  Well, Barrack might not, but McCain, certainly doesn't.

Another monster issue within our younger generation has been age.  John McCain is no spring chicken, but I for one have always valued the lifelong experience of my Grandparents over my friends.  Yet still, we now have a VP candidate at 44 years old with the nickname "Barracuda".

As a sportsman, I can't help but find value in someone from Alaska, a state that understands the importance of conservation but the importance of sportsman.  In addition, she is in the state that holds the answer to our economy, independance on foriegn oil.  Her husband works in the oil industry, you know, the same oil that flies Obama all over for his Socialist Parade!

Women, youth, economists and sportsmen, in the beginning, I had no faith in John McCain, I thought he was a liberal in disguise, but the more I learn, the more I like.  Lets elect these two and protect what is most important to us.

Go America!

Excellent reply.  At first, I wasn't thrilled with the McCain nom.  I like Romney for his economics and I like Huckabee for his sportsman care and the fact he was crazy.  I have since been impressed with McCain's slide to the right to compliment his lifelong ability to challenge the status quo.  You are correct, Obama preaches "change" but yet says nothing.  There is no change with him.  He has no answers.  It is the same politics by saying a lot of nothing to earn the respect of those with a narrow, closed mind.  I was hoping he would try to end racism by being mixed but has done nothing but call himself a black man and admittedly resent his white heritage.  At least McCain has the gusto to pick Palin, not only a woman but a risk.  Nobody knows her, few believe Alaska is part of "the normal US" and she doesn't fit in to traditional politics.  She is a great choice will make a great VP and hopefully someday a President if things go well.

When this election boiled down to Obama and McCain is was extremely disappointed in those choices and had resigned myself that I would have to vote for McCain as liberal as he is  other than voting fro the Socialist canidate Obama. The Palin selection was a great move by McCain to capture the vote of Hillary supporters that feel like they were dissed by Obama as VP pick. I feel that Palin balances out McCains liberal tendancies, A hunter, fisher, lifetime member of the NRA, believes in energy independence, right to life, smaller goverment. I have yet to under stand a single thing the Obama is going to do to HELP America to become stronger, He YELLS about change well is it change for the better or worse, I see all these young people wearing Obama garb and you try to ask tham what Obama is going to do for the country they have no answer dont get me wrong I want change in America I want small goverment, lower taxes, self reliance, bringour outsourced jobs back, energy indepenence, a respect for life, respect for each other. I realize that a president can do only so much but Obama does not want any American to have to do without anything his kind of politics and beliefs will make America weak, spoiled and lazy if everything is a right where is the encentive to get up off your rear and make it in this world (No i was not born rich) growing up we were quite poor and can remember times of being glad we had food to eat we did not take goverment hand outs call it pride if you want but more Americans need this type of pride and certainly not a President that says they shoulnt' have to worry or struggle to make it and everything is a right. OK thats my 2 cents on the election.
