this IS what i do.
7-6-08 hit lake reese a small city lake that you pay to fish.upsides are few other anglers no jet ski's or pleasure boats. a big plus is the size of the fish caught from it..

first cast this morning i catch a massive white crappie weighed on my digital scale at 3-2pounds..one of the biggest i ever caught. him and 3 other bass fell for a lucky craft d-12 crankbait. biggest bass of the day was caught on a dt6 he weighed 6-4 pounds. caught 2 over 5 on a jig off rocky points.. nice thing is i burnt less than 2 gallons of gas and spent 6 hours doing it.and only seen 7 other boats..

dew point at 76 and a high temp of 87 made for a miserable day. the humidity was so chunky that the digital camera would not work..

i'll be addin more reports on here every weekend..

8-03-08 badin lake air temp 86 water temp 89. water is down around 6 feet 2 am the boat is launched. we started off in one of my favorite spots about 3 miles from the launch. yes i ran to it wide open. caught 15 or so short fish on a sammy moved off the point and threw a carolina rigged 12" june bug worm for about 10 mintues and hooked up a 2 pound bass. i fight convention and throw it at night much to the annoyance of my fishing partner. we move to the grass line and we started chunkin buzzbaits where i hooked up a 3 pounder around 4:30ish. my partner hooked one over 5 but spit out the buzzbait at the boat.... once it got daylight the fish started moving deeper into the weeds about 8 am the bite just shut off. since we seen the first skier of the day at 8:30 am we headed for the launch..

high rock lake 7-27-08

water temp was 85 water was down 5+ feet. humidity was like a thick fog,the dew point was 81-lumpy even- boat was wet at 3 am came across my good friend and his wife in the main lake. i was running gps -he aint figure out his works yet- ran to swearing creek. we started in fishing spooks and poppers along the docks but got very little action about 5 am i switched to a buzz bait and caught one pee-dabber.. once it got light we started throwing cranks.. his missus started chunkin a 2" tsunami swim bait. did not take her catching 3 in a row to send both of us burrowing in the tackle boxes.

i caught a bit of everything swimming in high rock on that lil bait. 12 bass later big 4+ pounds. a bunch of crappie, some white perch,a couple brim and a 8 pound flat head that hit it like a truck..

highlight of my morning was when she lost a REALLY good bass 5+ pounds. she pitched a fit and cussed like a sailor..such vulgar language coming from a normally reserved southern lady is funny as hell sounding...

as the ski boat idiots showed that the lack of vizibility wont slow there stupidity down with vizablity at under 100 yards it was safer for us to haul mail and load up..
