It’s been a crazy few weeks here at the GSI HQ. First we moved the website and the blog in house. Then I was out for almost a week. As of today, we’re finally back to what passes for normal around here. Since we’ve got a little breathing space now, I figured today would be a good time to tell you what we’ve got planned and why.
First, the web site move. This has been in the works for a long time. I’ve always wanted the web site in house. We have a top notch IT staff here and they take care of our web sites very well. It is also less expensive to host our sites ourselves and, since we had the technology and the expertise, it just made sense to do so.
Moving the web site also gave me the opportunity to make some changes in URLs. I had always wanted the blog to have its own URL,
www.huntsmartthinksafety.com. It now has that. The company URL has changed from git-a-gunslinger.com, which no longer applied once we changed the name of the product, to
www.gunsafetyinnovations.com. Everything else, including the store (have you seen our cool logowear?) still operates as it did before.
We’re also in the process of getting our ducks in a row to start offering custom logowear. I still have some work to do on that, as I have to get pricing and information put together, but I’m hoping we’ll have that in place by the end of the summer. If you know of any group or club that I ought to contact, please let me know. I’m excited about this new venture and I know we can offer a quality product at a reasonable price. I also am very pleased that we will be donating a percentage of any profits we make to support hunting and fishing organizations. That is something I wish more outdoor product companies would do.
I’m also looking for additional venues for the GunTriever. I have to admit, with all that’s been going on; I’ve slacked off a bit in talking to retailers and such. I’m hoping to ramp up my efforts a bit in that area. As with the logowear, if you know of a store or retailer to whom I should speak, please share the information. You never know what could lead to a mutually beneficial relationship.
Finally, you definitely will see me getting back to my regular posting schedule on this blog.
Safety Friday and
Community Wednesday have gone missing the last few weeks, and I regret that. This week should see everything going back to normal.
Thanks for hanging with us and for all your good wishes. I do appreciate it.
