Kentucky turkey season - day 2

Today was a wash - literally! I woke up with the intentions of going out in the rain, but decided that I really don't want to shoot a bird if I can't get it on video (steady rain + expensive video equipment = bad news!) If it were the last weekend of the season, I would have been out there, regardless, but its early and I got plenty of time to fill my two tags - and still get it all on video. Kentucky turkey season - day 1

The first day of the Kentucky turkey season is in the books and there were no birds in the game bag for Team Poor Boys. Regardless of that, though, it was a great opener for me. Not only was the weather absolutely perfect - 40s in the morning, climbing to mid 70s for a high - but I was able to take my wife on her very first turkey hunt. This week I took a short stroll out to do some hog hunting across 2 days. The hogs were running early in the morning, and I was never able to close the distance with my bow before they winded me.

I couldn't leave empty handed, so I filled those hands up with a few pictures. I share 1 of them with everyone here.
