I have always been of the opinion that you should always buy the best gear that you can afford for several reasons: 1. In optics, price almost always equals quality. You may only get one fleeting chance at the animal of a lifetime over a lifetime of hunting. Is that missed opportunity worth saving 50 or 100 dollars?
