2009 Muzzleloader Elk Challenge

Muzzleloader Elk Challenge, Oct. 9-14 (1 Bull Elk per Team)
$6500.00 per team includes meals and lodging
$1500.00 deposit to hold spot (3 spots left!!)
When you sign up you will receive a landowner voucher # for you to use to get your Elk tags and License (aprox. $530.00) This is a guaranteed license for a muzzleloader elk tag
Teams will be hunting area 6C in North Central New Mexico and is a very large area.

Deer Season 08

Virginia archery season 08' starts in several hours and I am at work.    I'm really not sure how much I will be able to hunt this archery season as I still have some work to do around the house and have to get my muzzleloader sighted in. 

Changing the scope and ammo was a bad idea.  I have been to the range several times and still am not happy with any of the new bullets.

I have two more to try.  If they do not work out I will go back to the old bullet.... Read More



NC Wildlife Proposes Doing Away With Archery & Muzzleloader Seasons

In what is being pitched as a way to attracted & retain hunters NC Wildlife is proposing sweeping changes to current regulations including the elimination of Archery & Muzzleloading  seasons on private property.   They will instead leave the weapon choice up to the private landowner/ hunter.  To read more about this check out my full story on these sweeping changes....
