Me and my two boys have been hunting in Michigan for the last 5 years and we have yet to take a nice buck, We see deer but they are all doe. Does any one have any land or know of some land that we might be able to hunt that is not to far away from our home town? (Grand Haven Mi) I have a good freind in Indiana that lets us go down and hunt for a week end but that is really costly. I hunt a river bottom in SW WI, near the Kickapoo River. I have always seen deer in the bottom but after the massive flooding, the area changed alot, and I haven't seen near enough deer for the sign that's in there. Maryland's Bow Season opened up yesterday. Please post any sightings, successes, etc.
The Game Commission recently finalized the purchase of about 6500 acres here in Elk County. Much of that land had been closed to public hunting for many years due to be part of a hunting lease. That land had been, and still is, bordered with “No Trespassing” signs. Some people have stated that they would volunteer some time to help remove those signs.
