Our dog "trooper" (Weimaraner) made his first bust today. We went over to our lease in the town of Solon, which connects to Baker Schoolhouse State Forest, Plenty of room to work a dog. We had only walked in three-four hundred yards, and I spotted a flock up ahead of us on another logging road. I walked him over to the roadway, and that was all it took. So its all starting to come together.  Karma, my 11 month old Lab pup has done 2 field retrieves on doves.  When he did the first one, I was completely stoked.  My buddy who was hunting with me got sick of hearing me telling my dog, "good boy"  Hopefully, he'll just get better and we'll keep training as the Missouri duck season is just around the bend. ... Ok, I'm going to give this slide show stuff a try! Here's some new pictures of the flowers, pond, garden & dogs! I built Sherry a dog grooming table so she could groom the dogs. She did Macie & Max and I did Buddy. There's pictures of Buddy on the grooming table!
