Last Chance Whitetails Here in the Lone Star State of Texas, we have what is called the extended whitetail season. It starts the week after the regular gun season ends, and runs for two weeks. My '08 archery is officially over.....freezer is full. After a couple very frustrating hunting seasons, I managed to take my first two deer with archery equipment. A nice doe and my first ever buck. I'm using a Hoyt Magnatec, Gold Tip XT Hunter 5575's, and NAP Hellrazor broadheads. The buck was a 40+ uard shot, clean pass-thru, and quick death. Well, deer season is open here in Kansas. rackhunter78 and bucknrut007 and I went out Saturday morning. They got to watch a crazed doe run around like she was in heat. I saw quite a few deer and took out a doe that was 15 yards away. I don't know if you have heard about slick trick broadheads but they really do a job on deer.
