I took my son and youngest daughter out to do a quick walk hunt in our neighborhood today, not really expecting to bring home anything other than some exercise and taking in the colored leaves of Fall. It is Sunday evening in Bilbao.  We sit here many steps closer to making Baserri Shotguns a reality.  The Basque portion of Spain is beautiful.  And the gunmakers pride themselves on quality craftmanship. 

This week we got an upclose tour of the AYA factory, shot Trap off the side of a mountain near San Sabistian, and worked out the details of the initial Baserri Hunting and Shooting models.

Here we are, at the beginning of a long, and hopefully successful, journey.  Baserri Shotguns were born to fill a need for the Upland hunters and Sporting Clay shooters in the US.  We are introducing a series of guns made by hand in the Basque Region of Spain at the price of the mass produced shotguns in the market.  Our goal is to become the best, but not the biggest, Shotgun manufacturer in the World.  I know it is a lofty goal, but what is worth doing is worth doing big.... Wow!  We had a great day with lots of really fine dogs at the Field Dog Expo.  The vendors were great and the trainers had the attention of a lot of people looking to do the right thing by their dogs and then the rains came.  While, it put us out of business for some activities, it did not put a damper on the fun.  Warm Hearted Country came and performed and we had a blast.  At the end of the day, we were all looking forward to doing this again next year.  If you wo...
