A few days ago I had a conversation with Matt from the Bright Idea Outdoors Weblog. In the course of the conversation, he told me that he'd been showing the Gunslinger to some friends. So, some of the feedback I received got me thinking.
What is the solution? I think it is to get involved. I don't mean join DU (although you should do that, and the NRA, Pheasants Forever, SCI, United Sportsman's Youth Foundation, Delta Waterfowl, etc.). I spend hundreds of dollars every year on memberships and banquets, and am seriously involved with several of them. You need to be active and recruit new hunters to the cause.
