The names Garland Mears. Hunting is a big part of my life. I worked for an outfitter for 10 years wrangling horses, packing mules and guiding hunting and fishing trips. Stopped outfitting to spend more time with my wife and our three boys [Hunter 8,Chance 5,and Trey 3}. I hunt to fill my freezer, and like to coyote hunt in my spare time.

Hello Garland Mears... Hey did you know a 22-250 will walk all over a 223 LOL You Colorado Boys LOL So hows the weather out there think its going to be a good summer? My Bud lives there in Montrose where we hunt at and he said they got alot of rain... Well we wont be there this year going to hun our own state this time and we ran out of points LOL. Take care my friend we might get to met one day out your way....
I'll put my 223 aginst your 22-250 anyday. Weather seems to be bout the same here as Montrose not much change from one side of the hill to the other. We have started to see the sun lately though. Too bad you wont be out this year looks to be a good one round here at least. Lots of good bucks around and every bull I've seen is already a branch bull. Well take it easy and who knows Montrose is only 66 miles away we just might meet someday

Well it’s always good when your not there, I know how that is LOL Well will be there next year for Elk if for nothing else. We have the one place in California I've always hunted all my life and I want to hunt it one more time so I asked my Son if he would not mind staying in California this year to hunt it so the hunt is on. Its in Big Ben California I'll send you an address if you want to check it for the Air. These computers really make it nice to check out your hunting grounds. There old photos but they still show you the lay of the land. Well hey you have a great week out your way and when we do come out till stop and say hey... Take Care...

no not yet.. i going out this weekend or next weekend with a friend of mine to see if we can see any yet... its stillc old and alot of snow up here right now.. so im not to sure how things will turn out.. bear season doesnt open for another month and a half..so still time to scout them out!
