man i'd love to shoot me a big white tail in texas. you in a huntin camp there?
no, I have a friend who owns a big ranch there he charges high dollar for big bucks - but he told me I could come and kill a management buck, for free! I couldn't pass that offer up - I'll shoot whatever he wants me to shoot!
oh well i have been wanting to go white tail buck hunting somewhere...
I'm gonna be hunting whitetails in Texas this October I'll only be hunting blacktails and muleys here in Oregon this year (that is, for deer - I'll also hunt bear, elk, pronghorn, etc.)
a little of all kinds we've got blacktail deer on this side of the mountains, and muleys on the other side - with whitetails on the extreme far northeast corner we've got roosevelt elk on this side, rocky mountain elk on the other we've got pronghorns on the east side of the state we've got bighorns and rocky mountain goats on the east side (though getting tags is harder than winning the lottery) we've got black bears and cougars, pretty much all over the state we've got turkeys, pheasants, quail, grouse, chukar, dove, ducks and geese we've got varmints - like ground squirrels, tree squirrels and rabbits we've got predators - like coyotes, bobcats, foxes, badgers there are a few places that supposedly hold wild pigs - but I haven't ever figured out where
I bow hunt mostly, but rifle hunt when I can of course, we shoot birds with shotguns, too
