BaseCampLegends.com is a new web community where we invite you to set up your own blogs, tell stories on the forums, share pictures and videos, and more. We're always looking for good stories! Co founders Tom Sorenson and Gary Sorenson are a father son team that stumbled into this business after a few years of experimenting with creating a magazine. Tom Sorenson runs the hands on stuff (including running this page!) while Gary handles the business end of things. Self taught business owners, they share a passion for the outdoors - and the stories and memories that go with it. It was our idea to create a site where all the many great stories that each sportsman has could be shared and preserved for years to come. Come visit us at basecamplegends.com

greetings....
just visiting and thought i'd drop by....
hope all is well.
Hey - how've things been? Got busy here suddenly. Have taken a full time job, am going back to school full time and am still trying to run the website...Oofta!! Hoping to draw a spring bear tag!
Take care.
be careful, brother. don't overdo it! i think i lit my "too many irons in the fire" about 10 years ago, and you know it...there'll all still burnin'
Baby's doing great...found out the other day it is a boy! So I've got a little huntin' buddy!
The spring bear tag is about a 1 in 6 chance for a draw, so I'll count myself lucky if I draw a tag! I hope so, though...spot & stalking them guys is a load of fun!
congrats on the news...excited for you (this coming from the daddy of 3 girls)...
as for the bear tag...i can't imagine hunting as many different game as some of you do...i will attempt a day or two of turkey season, but i'm all big buck hunting, can't help it...it's an addiction...i dedicate probably 80% of the entire season (oct-jan) or MORE in the woods...
simply can't imagine putting more time into other seasons...my wife would leave me for sure!

what a looonnngg drawn out season for me with more emotion than i can explain... finally!!! got my first local kill on 16th january and scored again the very next day...uhh...pretty much one week ago.
season ends 31st this month and unless i change my mind, i'll find time back at the stand a couple of more times....what a brute of a deer walking back here on my little 90 acres...i can't start to describe this deer, but he has me hooked...haven't slept good in over 2 weeks now. how is everyone out your way?
