I love to Bowhunt, and if I have not gotten all my game with the bow.... I will opt to Handgun Hunting. I love getting in the outdoors with my camera, no matter if it is still digital or video

I have always had an interest in filming my own hunts and may give this a try.

Places to hunt this year

1) Montana
2) Hawaii

Bowhunting it's more than a hunt, it's an addiction.

Hi Jon Erdmann here, and I have a great passion for hunting mature whitetails. There really is never a dull moment while out in the field, yes it can be quiet at times, but this affords us the opportunity to reflect on what God has given us to behold.

My wife of 28 years, and I love to break out a 4 wheeler and hit the back areas of Montana, which allows us to enjoy God's greater outdoors and all it has to offer us.

But when I'm not doing all of this my real passion is beyond the game I pursuit out there, as there is something much greater to pursuit. My greatest passion is the pursuit of a persons soul for Jesus Christ, and that is more exciting than most can possibly know or feel. I have a heart felt desire to reach out thru an outdoor ministy and common bond of the outdoors.

The greatest day I ever spent in the woods, is the one just spent in the woods.

Romans 1:20
2 Tim 2:22
Philipians 4:13

Sometimes the greatest sermon ever told, is the one seen by others in a reflection of how we live our lives thru Jesus Christ.

Still walking by faith, and learning as I go along.

Monday morning is not looking too springy and nice here, but the tv weather guy says the end of the week will be beautiful as Spring should be, love it :)

Make it a great week !!!!

Maria, your right as we woke up to rain and about 43* and its snowing up on top of Blacktail Mountain, but hey that is March in Montana. Its still good weather to go out and scout for black bears. Our spring season starts April 15th, and I may have Brodie Swisher from Rocky Mountain Bowhunter TV coming up to get into some black bear hunting with me. It will be an awesome time, of sharing and seeing if we can both get a bear arrowed.

Even in the foul weather, there is always something good to find.

Take care

Jon

Ohhhh Black Bear Hunting.......now that would scare me !!
On occasion 2 or 3 will wonder out of the woods into my back yard and it thrills me to see them, and I aww in their size.....but thats looking at them through glass doors, to be in the open with them, would scare me.....But, got to admit I sure think bear rug are really neat ! In Alaska I saw some brown bear but they were not close to me, from a distance in Glacier Bay or in Sitka in a controlled enviroment.
Have fun......
Keep in touch......

No Apology needed on a slow reply, I often get so busy with everyday life I don't get on here to do my replies.

^5 and glad the shoulder is recovering well, is kind of interesting you have therapist who know your hobby/passion of bow shooting to help you recover to do what you like.

Spring....awww I think it is near......we have snow one day, sun the next, but the spring flowers are coming up and the spring tree's are butting blooms, hope a frost doesn't kill them all.

Have a nice week.........don't be a stranger

Thanks for the reply, pretty much been recuperating from my shoulder surgery. 3 mo to the day, I was back at it at the indoor range with my bow adjusted to about 10 pounds less on the draw. I have had a couple of great Physical Therapist who are bowhunters themselves.

Just been really staying indoors to stay warm during our winter. It has been trying of late to warm up, but we've had a light blow of snow today, to keep us reminded that ol man winter is still hanging on.

Spring, I want Spring weather........

Gotta love Montana though.

Take care

Montana...........never been there but I do have a dear lady friend who lives outside of Missoula, Montana.....I met her on one of my cruises and we have remained friends, she asks for me to come visit, maybe one day.

Glad the shoulder is healing and your getting back to something you enjoy doing.

I'm busy living life and looking forward to spring and summer when I thrive.

Have a Nice weekend,

Maria

Maria, sorry for the late response. I have two accounts here and you can also find me under MT_Bowhunter. I'm not just a whitetail freak hunter but a 100% bowhunter and have given up the rifle altogether for my hunting, as I just don't get any satisfaction from the later. Life is great, and back to pulling the bow at full 70 plus pounds.

Have an awesome weekend.

You would really enjoy hunting up here, imagine being so close to an elk you can smell his breath, and then releasing an arrow on a sucessful bowhunt. That sound of THWACK!

Have a great week-end.
