Country, Rock, Rythm & Blues and Blue Grass. I like most any music if done in good taste....RAP ISN'T in my world.

Huntin Hard in Alaska, by Mark Taylor. Check it out, lots to learn from this reading if you want to ever hunt AK.

Family, hunting, fishing, guns, shooting, 4-wheelin and the great outdoors in general.

Not much time for it. TV is bad for the brain...way to commercialized in my opinion. For those who have their own outdoor show...how's about some hunts the common man can afford to go on...it's not all about TROPHY's either!

Just one...My Dad. I owe everything to you, I love you!

Whitetail1der Retirements only 3.5 months away!!!

Been military my whole life...born into it. It wasn't until I enlisted that I realized the outdoors was my callin. My hunting adventures are few and far between now-a-days but when I do go out, I go all out and make them life long memories. I believe in fair chase, meat hunting should come first then trophy hunting, the right to bear arms, freedom of speech, hunting is a right not a privledge, AMERICA IS STILL GREAT and the right to say GOD BLESS anytime, any where I want to and to who ever I want to.

Hey YOU...........
Congrats on the up coming retirement !!!
I am thuroughly enjoying this installment of my retirment, if you've read my profile you already know I take my retirement on the installment plan, I work till I tire of working and retire, then when I tire of retirement I return to work........however I am not tiring on this installment of retiring .......I keep busy with my volunteer work and travels. Speaking of tavel I have plans to return to Alaska in the spring.
Have you any plans after retirment, will you remain in Alaska or move back to the main states.
Life is good in WV......our summer has been unseasonably cool....temps in 70 and some 80.......yet to see 90 which is unusual for us this time of year.
My birthday is the 8th of August, my anniversary the 26th....think we are celebrating at or on the ocean.
Have a Nice weekend my Friend,
Maria

Hey you! I've been gone for a spell. Daughters graduation in Fla and then took her on a bear hunt here in AK. Both events were huge successes. Trying to get her to move to AK and go to college now. I hope your visit here was great and that you got off the boat to see the real AK. We're off to the Russian River for some salmon fishing tomorrow (the Reds are in thick right now!) then off to do some 4-wheelin on Sat. I think Sun will be a day of rest for all of us. Talk to you soon, take care. T

Yes you have been MIA........very nice surprise hearing from you
Happy for your daughter and glad for the time together, when those kids grow into adults it is so hard to get alone time with them, isn't it.

Oh, Alaska showed us her best weather, sunshine and warm temps 55-58 in every port town and daylight till near 11 pm.......awesome, we have not had that nice of weather in WV this spring . I did get off ship in every town but was disapointed in Glacier Bay National Park, which was a six hour cruise through, the glaciers were not near as impressive as those in Juneau and Tracy Arm Fjord and the waterfalls were not there, we did see one bear but from a distance while there. We like to get off the beaten path and do atv or jeep adventure rides, or in Alaska a half day fishing trip.....however I came down with pneumonia two week before our cruise and we had to alter our on shore activities to more easy going laid back old folk style activities . Am not sure when we will return to Alaska, the airplane ride is such a long one to meet the ship and our last flight was the flight from heck. Am looking now at Panama Canal and Suez Canal cruises, think one of those will be my next trip.
I've been having 2 black bear visitors since returning home, they are coming a tad too close to the back door though.
Life is Good and I am grateful, till next time take care and God Bless,
Maria

Hey You.........
What did you do run and hide when you heard this West Virginia Girl was coming to town ...
Alaska was great, we had sunny and clear skies the entire trip, I actually got hot and had to strip layers of clothing off. Look forward to returning, hopefully in September.
Enough about me, how are you doing, glad to be home I am sure....hope life is all sunshine and smiles for you, drop me a line when you get time

~~~~ WELCOME HOME ~~~~
You brought back some great pictures of your down time in Guam my friend.
Am sure you are very happy to be home again with your family.
I'll be sailing into the Alaska towns of Juneau, Sitka, Ketchikan, Skagway and cruising Glacier Bay National Park May 17-25. Looking forward to seeing Sitka, Ketchikan and Glacier Bay,as I've not visited those yet. Were planning on doing some atv and jeep tours in Sitka, and Ketchikan, love to get off the beaten path and see the countryside. Will be taking the boat out of Akuke Bay for whale wathching and visiting Mendenhall Glacier.
Life's Best to YOU,
Maria
