I'm also a rock hound which makes for heavy packs when i go hunting. I usually come back with a quartered deer and pockets full of rocks.

I also love to cook and grill.

ABOUT ME
Hi I'm Ty. I'm in school working on a degree in Earth science then eventually a masters in Geology. So school is pretty much my life right now.

I'm a waterfowl addict. After my first season I was hooked. I hunt deer, turkey, elk, upland, varmints and hogs. But i live to hunt ducks and geese.

I grew up in the suburbs but spent the summers on my uncles or aunts farms. I'm a country boy at heart.

I do only rifle hunts because I messed up my shoulder and haven't tried using a bow yet. But I'd love to give it a try soon and see if my shoulder will hold up.

I shoot Remington 700's in .270 and .300 win mag. Pistol hunt with a S&W in 10mm. Shotguns I use a Remington 870 super mag or Mossberg 835. I will be getting a Browning Maxus once they come out.

Thanks, I am still fairly new to the sport but can already say that I am completely hooked and it is in the blood!! :) I am sorry that I didnt get a chance to get back to you about the DU Banquet, we ended up getting wrapped up in the prep to head up to Canada for our annual goose hunt. I am on the SL Chapter with my boyfriend (Waterfowler1) and we help out every year with the State of Utah DU Convention down in Mesquite in April. Please let me know if you are ever interested in voluntering or would just like the info to attend different events!! Glad to run into another Utah Duck hunter on here and look forward to possibly seeing you become a DU volunteer!!
