I am a proud part of "The Creek Confederacy"

A North American Indian confederacy organized by the Muskogee that dominated the southeastern part of the United States. The Creek Confederacy formed with the uniting of the Muskhogee, Guale, Tuskegee, Shawnee, Cusabo, Muscogee, Seminole, Yamasee, Natchez, a small group of Apalachee, Tamathli, Coushatta, Tawasa, Apalachicola, Okmulgee, Hitchiti, Muklasa, Osochi and the Chiaha. They became a large hunter/farmer nation/confederacy dominated by the Muskhogee (Creek). They were constantly at war with neighboring tribes and Whites as well. They were early divided geographically into two parts, the Upper Creek on the Coosa and Tallapoosa Rivers, and the Lower Creeks on the Chatahoochee and Ocmulgee.

We have struggled successfully to preserve our culture and to live our lives according to our traditions and beliefs. We are a people who have refused to accept defeat from the U.S. military, the unforgiving swamps and wilderness of Florida, displacement and extermination. We are a brave, strong, courageous, unconquered people who have never surrendered nor signed a peace treaty with the United States. Against great odds this Tribe of Native Americans determined they would not be driven from their land. They fought with a tenacious will to survive and ultimately persevered. The Creek Confederacy, a fierce, proud tribe of Florida, let neither three wars with the United States Army or the harsh Florida swamps defeat us. Even though the United States threw their best at us they were unsuccessful.

May our rights, SOVEREIGNTY, wealth, dignity, PRIDE and health be forever restored. And may generations to come remember the many INJUSTICES we have suffered as our names, homes, families, land, food, freedom were STOLEN and the many lies that were told. They laugh at me because I'm different, I laugh at them because they're all the same.
