I don't listen to music much any more but I do like music. Blues, Bluegrass, acoustic guitar, rock, R & B, classical. I sometimes just like silence. I can sit in the woods and just listen to nature. The wind, frogs, birds, the rustling of a field mouse in the litter of the forest are all sounds I appreciate like many people do not.

My reading interests are very wide. I like murder mystery, history, gun related and outdoor articles. I subscribe to a number of conservation magazines like the Minnesota Conservation Volunteer. I receive American Hunter with my NRA membership and really like the "Armed Citzen" stories. I am a member of the Minnesota Historical Society and enjoy reading about Minnesota and World History.

My interests primarily revolve around hunting and fishing but I also like movies, cooking and gardening. Photography is another hobby that I enjoy.

CSI, LOST, NCIS. I watch the History Channel, Discovery Channel, and of course, all the Outdoor Channels. I love TIVO! Recordings for a rainy day!!!

I guess I don't really know who my heroes are. I look up to God and thank him every day for allowing me to survive. I thank him for my family. I thank him for my wife and kids. Every day I'm alive is a blessing. My wife and mother are my greatest earth based heroes. My wife for tolerating me and putting up with my hunting and my mother for just being my mother. I believe that the women in a man's life has the greatest infleunce on who he becomes or doesn't become. Behind every good man is a better woman!

I look up to my father for teaching me about the difficulties of life. He taught me how to survive at all costs. He taught me a great deal about the woods and nature and passed on the passion of the outdoors.

Someday I hope to look up to my children as they become adults and raise their own families. We have good kids and I think my wife and I are on the right track with them.

Spooky2 Having absolutely no luck with these damn deer!!!

I'm 49 years young and I have be married to my very beautiful wife for almost 20 years I have two great kids. I have been disabled for 18 years after falling while working construction. The fall left me parylzed from the mid chest down. Being disabled has not stopped me from enjoying the outdoors. I have managed to meet a good number of great people who have helped me get to the places I need to go. While I will admit that I can't always get to the spots I'd like to I never the less get as far into the bush as I can! I have had good success over the years and hope to continue hunting and fishing as long as physically possible. Attitude is everything!

I have a saying: Your only old 10 minutes before you die!

Thanks for the add CF1970. Went out goose hunting this weekend and managed 12. Deer hunting (archery)starts next weekend. I might go but I hunting when there are less bugs. Good luck hunting this fall. Remember hunting isn't about killing, It's about being out enjoying nature and providing for yourself. Knocking over something for the table is an added pleasure. I've reached a point in my life I don't even really care if I get anything anymore. Sometimes I just like to watch. Yesterday we had a cat in the decoys. It was halarious watching the dog chase the cat all the way across the field.

lol, that's pretty funny! I understand... very nice to meet you!

Thanks for the add Eric. It's a good thing when you can get the kids to go out hunting or fishing with you. My son loves fishing and will occasionally go hunting with me. My daughter on the other hand wouldn't be caught dead in a hunting blind. Boooooooooring!!!!! I asked her "Whats the difference? Sitting in a blind with dear old dad texting or sitting on the couch texting? Answer: There's no TV! What? One kid lives outside the other won't leave the house. She loves the deer burgers and pheasant pot pie, fish ect. But she's not going to sit out in the woods and wait for me to kill it and grill it. My son on the other hand justs finds entertainment with dirt, mud and sticks! He could play with dead carp in the river for hours.

My oldest daughter would not even consider going hunting with just dont like it very prissy.. My youngest daughter loves to go hunting, she is 12 and missed her first deer last year, hopefully i have done enough with the food plots this year and can get one in front of her.

Umm no I've been really busy with other stuff. I haven't been on camospace for weeks. Between work, hauling kids around, ocaasional fishing, working on the yard, gardens, my food plot and starting to get equipment ready for the fall hunting season I've been too busy to be here. Minnesota's early fall goose hunt starts in about a month and deer season is two weeks after that. That s the same weekend small game opens. Grouse numbers are up this year so I will probably go north for grouse hunting. Busy, busy, busy! Plan, plan, plan. Salmon fishing too.......OMG! Gotta go.......................
