yeah that would be unbelievable to have a deer of that caliber under your stand....word is that a group in the area killed what they thought was a huge doe in the late season "doe only" season turns out it was actually a very large shed buck! No one knows for sure or can confirm but that would be a terrible way for him to go.
no kidding, that would be shame to see one go out like that..
well maybe one of these days we can run into a buck like that.. You live in Iowa so it's very possible I have mounted some bruisers from Iowa

Nice set of sheds your holdin there
Thanks man, unfortunately they are not mine. I was lucky enough to druel over these when I went to pic up my whitetail euro mount from my taxi. I was looking at some of the other mounts and he said "Man you are really into this hunting thing" And I said you bet I am. He then proceeded to pull these out and said that he only shared them with a few people. The were fresh this past spring and are truley world class, just over 92" on one side and 87 1/2" on the side with the broken brow.

I hunt in Monroe county around the Lovilia area. Good hunting, just got my 09 bow buck on Oct. 30th.
Great job on bowkill! Hope rest of season goes well.
