Anytime you want to do a interview on hunting from a wheelchair let me know. I always need content and have a following of about 1000 downloads a week from my archives.

I ran across this posting in the Maine Trappers forums and wanted to share this with you

"I attended the first meeting of an assoc. forming up here with the idea of helping our deer herd. It was idea forming meeting that was set up on a couple days notice. Close to 50 hunters trappers and outdoorsmen showed up, which indicates the real concern for our herd in this area. I was suprised at the turnout we had on such short notice. The sportsmen in this area are no longer going to wait for our state to take action. Another winter like the last will finish off our herd.
A name was decided on, but it has slipped my mind.
It is inline with a group that formed in Washington County.
All interested, the next meeting is on Jan. 6 at 6:00pm,at the Northeastland Hotel in Presque Isle.
The time for action is now, and many hands are needed.
All are welcome

It was made clear by the group at the first meeting, the state will have no involvment in this. Many there had have dealings with the state in the past, and are fed up with it.
This assc. is just forming, but plans are being made for predator management and supplemental feeding to start.
Action is needed now,and these can be implemented fairly quickly.
There also was talk of pushing for the extended coyote trapping season again, and perhaps a spring bear season.
But this will only work with involvement by many.
The idea is to get a solid assoc. with the thought of banding together with like minded groups eventualy. More numbers means more power.
Anyone interested in learning more should attend the Jan 6 meeting. Jan 6, 6;00pm Northeastland hotel PI. Bring friends.
Jerry McLaughlin is heading up the organizing. He's been very active in trapping issues and the MTA, so many may know him already.

The official name is
The Aroostook County Conservation Assoc.
We currently have a load of bait for anyone interested in starting a site for coyote control.. "

I will be going to PI on Jan 6th to find out more on this I personally invite all to attend!
Thanks
Rennat
