"In the deep of the woods,... you will find me! I can't wait for the night before the hunt , when I'll be "preparing" everything I need even though it's already "good to go". The sleepless night and waking up so early while the family is still at sleep. I can't wait to feel the rush and the sentiment of been in a hurry to get to the hunting "spot" like if I don't make it there soon, I won't see anything. To feel the same as I did when I went hunting for the first time. To feel the cold of the first mist of the morning in my face before I get into my truck. The thoughts and expectation of what I might see or how would I do in the woods as I drive down the road towards the "killing zone". Heart pumping fast and the body burning so much adrenalin that it starts to break a sweat even though it's 32 degrees cold while I walk on the trails through the woods towards my ambush point. The feel of the frost on the grass while I walk on it. Finally to sit on my stand or climb a tree and wait for the sunrise while the forest awakens. To be able to watch how the vapor from my breath dissipates in the cold air while the sun rays sneak between the trees. To take a deep breath and fill my lungs with fresh air that will lift my spirit. To look up to the sky and give thanks for the life lived and for ones loved. And if by any chance I get to see a "ghostly" image of the deer kind walking through my shooting lane , it would certainly complete one of the reasons why I'm out there, but definitely it's not the most important. If I get to live once again all that I've detailed before , then I would be able to say ,... In the deep of the woods, you will find me!" By Gilb Rivera -(P2PHANTOM)

Hi there Tracey! Hope your vision health is improving.
No better but no worse for now. I'm not letting it stop me from doing or getting things done. Went out and got a doe yesterday with my mezzleloader. I have it on video too. I'll have to see what I need to do to post it.
Glad for your Dr's report. At least positive although it will take time to heal a 100%. I'm sure you'll be hitting the woods soon. What them doctors know???
Yes, doubt if I'll stay out of the woods for more than 2 days...LOL
Bummer about your eye Tracey, but hang tight and take care of it. Hope you get to get out slamming on them deers soon.
Right now it looks like my season is over. It's devastating. I'm not evn sure if what I'm typing is good. Can't see a damn thing. My eyes aren'y focusing together and I have weird multiple images, very blurry and moving. Feels like I'm going crazy.
I've hunted in Maryland down at Kennedyville with an outfitter called HOPKINS SPORTING CLAYS for early archery for a few years.
Thanks for the add ....love the background stop by anytime and Happy Hunting best of luck to you
