Nortonsquiver Nice weather out...been out shooting the longbow

I am a father and a husband. I am a stay at home dad, its the hardest job I have ever loved. My daughter loves to go out and shoot her bow with me. And I lookforward to taking her hunting with me this year. My wife is training for the 2012 olympic marathon trails.

Nice page, good luck to your wife. I love to run also, but got into road cycling with my sons. They both won junior state championships this year and dream of the olympics one day. I love bow hunting as well, I am still with my training wheels yet.

thanks for adding me. I always have a hard time deciding between the longbow and the recurve. Have you had any luck yet this year?

No not yet. I did find a nice rub and scrape this morning. I will be setting up a treestand there soon. I mostly use my longbow but I also have a recurve. I shoot at a squirrel this moning. My arrow just missed it. It was up about 50 to 60 feet. The arrow hit right beside the squirrel and it jumped amd fell all the way to the ground. I could tell it was a big shock for it. But then it ran back up the tree.

I haven't made it out hunting yet. Hoping for next weekend. Just been too busy. Good luck to you. Stop by anytime!

Our season opend Oct 1st. I heard its hot there in alabama.

Is that a longbow you are shooting?

It's a recurve. I will move up to a longbow one day. It usually is hot and humid down here but it has been really nice today and only 74 degrees. That made it nice checking on my camera.

It's been awhile since I've been on the computer, I like your new background. Our deer season opens in one week here in Bama, how about y'all? Good luck this season.
